A Theology Fit for a Picnic

In the calendar of the Christian year, there is often a strange confluence of Trinity Sunday with Memorial Day weekend.  That’s true  this year when the secular holiday officially opening summer coincides with the liturgical holiday focusing on one of the more obscure doctrines of the Christian faith.  What is a preacher to do?  While the minds of  most members of a congregation are focused on their plans for a picnic at the beach, how does one make the Christian message relevant and compelling.  We give it a try.  Read more.
