Following the passage of the health care legislation &#8230; surely the most pro-life, pro-health legislation that has come out of Congress in decades, I am being deluged by email from so-called &#8220;Right to Life&#8221; organizations outraged by this legislation.\u00a0 Given that it is perfectly clear that no federal funding under this legislation will be provided for abortions, I keep wondering why.\u00a0 My conclusion.\u00a0 These folks just won&#8217;t quit until abortion is entirely criminalized.\u00a0 The mere thought that one might be recieving ANY benefit from government on the one hand and then turning around and being able to pay for an abortion, even though it is perfectly legal to do so, is an abomination to these folks.\u00a0 By the standard they are using, even social security should be considered anti-life because someone, somewhere who is receiving social security benefits could use those federal dollars to pay for an abortion.\u00a0 Likewise, someone who is receiving a student loan, or a deduction on home mortgage interest, and as a result has enough money to pay for an abortion, is doing so\u00a0as a result of\u00a0federal funding.\u00a0 \u00a0This is a totalitarian view of right and wrong, plain and simple.<\/p>\n\n<!-- Facebook Like Button v1.9.6 BEGIN [http:\/\/blog.bottomlessinc.com] -->\n<iframe src=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/like.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.godweb.org%2F%3Fp%3D467&amp;layout=standard&amp;show_faces=false&amp;width=450&amp;action=like&amp;colorscheme=light\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" allowTransparency=\"true\" style=\"border:none; overflow:hidden; width:450px; height: 30px; align: left; margin: 2px 0px 2px 0px\"><\/iframe>\n<!-- Facebook Like Button END -->\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There may be a &#8220;right to life&#8221; but there isn&#8217;t a right to be subborn or stupid.\u00a0 (As for whether there is a right&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_active":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_note":"","_monsterinsights_sitenote_category":0,"_uf_show_specific_survey":0,"_uf_disable_surveys":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_dont_email_post_to_subs":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":false,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","default_image_id":0,"font":"","enabled":false},"version":2}},"categories":[70],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-467","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-hot-topics"],"aioseo_notices":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v27.4 (Yoast SEO v27.5) - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-premium-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>A Right to Life?
