   Correct! Three times. Curiously,
the story does not clarify "why" Samson's hair was in any way connected
with his strength. One also wonders why the Bible singles out the story involving
Samson, Delilah and  the Philistines. Here we have a man who was far less
than a paragon of virtue lying to protect his own life in the face of betrayal
by a woman he loves. And in the bloody end, three thousand people die when he
destroys the building in which he is being held captive. For
the full story.
